Symptoms indicated by customer | The power was turned OFF on a server (NEC Express5800) being used as an SQL server before a long vacation. |
||
Details of Diagnosis | The extent of physical fault was checked on all three HDDs. A clone of all 3 HDDs was made in order to safely retrieve data.
The RAID was reconfigured from the cloned HDDs using our own equipment. Partition information was verified, and we were also able to access data areas. An intact folder configuration was also verified. |

Recovery Percentage | As a result of the above mentioned recovery process, over 99% of data was successfully recovered from the Express5800. |

Technical staff handling, comments | Apparently, the customer contacted another data recovery company before placing a request with Riplus. No one was able to come out due to the long vacation, however, and so the problem was brought to us. |
